# xph

> xph compiles typed Astro-like components to PHP, scoped CSS, and bundled JavaScript. Build with Node.js and render with PHP without Node.js in production.

Install with `npm install --save-dev xph`. Write `.xph` components in `src/`,
configure `xph.config.ts`, and run `npx xph build`. Run `npx xph dev` to rebuild
on changes. Generated PHP is loaded through `xph.php` and the `\Xph\renderer()` API.

Component frontmatter runs at build time. `Props` defines component inputs;
`Server` describes data returned by a PHP `<script is:server>` block at render time.
Templates support slots, scoped styles, and bundled browser scripts. Output is
escaped by default. Register page components before calling the renderer's
`styles()` method so dependency styles are included.
